Why Laminin?
Laminin is the cell adhesion molecule whose structure is such that it tells the cell it’s function.
Just as laminin holds our body’s cells together, Christ’s presence in our community, our koinonia, will bind us together. The Laminin Group creates spaces where citizens with intellectual disabilities, their families, and friends are bound together through faith, shared purpose, and unconditional love.
Christ is the “glue” that binds us together — “For by him all things were created in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions, or rulers or authorities — all things were created through him and for him. And he is before all things, and in him all things hold together.” (Colossians 1:16-17)
Putting Special Needs First
Most communities are built for people without disabilites, and are adapted to fit others needs.
Laminin Place will be built FOR them.
Our vision is an intentional Christian community where individuals with intellectual disabilities are at the center—not an afterthought.

Housing for any situation
When Laminin Place is built, it will offer:
- Families who want to live together: condominiums and apartments
- Adults who can live independently: their own apartments with support nearby
- Those needing daily assistance: state-of-the-art assisted living
- Aging parents: transition to senior living without leaving the community

More than just housing
Our vision includes:
- Vocational training at the retail center
- real jobs, real skills
- Community church where everyone belongs and participates
- Recreation center with programs designed for all abilities
- Day Work Programs
- Safe, walkable community where everyone knows your name
Why Laminin Place Matters
“Every parent of a special needs child carries the same fear: What happens when I’m gone? Laminin Place isn’t just a residence – it’s the answer to thousands of prayers, a place where our children can thrive in faith and community long after we’re called home.”
– Rick Willinger, Founder of Laminin Group

Our Mission
The Mission of “The Laminin Group”, TLG, is to be God’s vessel in development and sustenance of the community called Laminin Place.
We envision a place to live, learn, play, work, and worship – where families and friends of special people can live alongside one another, offering support and encouragement while sharing common goals.
“I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.”
– Matthew 25:40
